The final book in the Chase Tinker is another story packed full of magical adventure. It is non-stop action as Chase takes on his role of Keeper of the house. He has to lead his family in a rescue mission. First he needs to return his mother, then it’s time to restore the relic and finally destroy the Marlowes. It is a fantastic end to a wonderful series that middle grade children will enjoy.
Once again the characters are endearing as they continue to grow. It’s the conclusion you need to read. The whole series is a must for all magic lovers.

Empowered by her Chosen Mother to follow her heart, Magelica and her fun and wacky friends learn that following your dreams is no easy task! Called upon to connect peoples and worlds, and bring balance and harmony, Magelica discovers that the greatest enemy is fear, but realizes that it is no match for courage, believing in herself, and love, the most powerful magic of all.

Author, mother, wife, Founder and CEO of Magelica Inc., former marketing and advertising executive, a tireless fundraiser for many charities, a painter, and gardener, Louise’s passions keep growing. Louise’s dream is to create a bond with children and their caregivers around the globe, and make a real difference by entertaining them with exciting stories that stimulate their imagination, and help them discover the power of their own magic. Books are just the beginning. She is simply getting started!

“Through life’s trials and tribulations, I always believed I could. With the Magelica book series, my own beliefs, courage, determination and resolve have been tested over and over. Believing I can, has kept me going! My goal is for young girls to be empowered to grow up strong, positive and powerful, and for young boys to have the self-confidence to support girls in their goals, thereby creating a new gender balance for a new generation. “The children of today, will grow up to be the parents of tomorrow. By inspiring them now, the ripple effect will eventually change the world.”

“Magelica’s Voyage is inspired by my life, my family, and the special people and places I love”, says Courey Nadeau. “All of the characters in the story, including Magelica are reflections of the person I am- the wacky part, the funny part, the philosopher, the teacher, the caretaker, the chosen mom, the giver, and of course the dreamer. What would Magelica do, I often ask, and I get the answer. When you fly with Magelica, the possibilities are endless and there is magic all around.”

Stitch Says Book Review: Twisted Fate #Bookreview

Hi, Stitch here:

Today I have a great book for you…

Twisted Fate by Simon Rose

Max was always told his mother jumped in front of a train, but on his fifteenth birthday he receives a box of her belongings. Suddenly he starts having dreams and visions. Is it possible she was pushed? Could he prevent the whole thing from happening and change his life? Twisted Fate is a tale full of time shifts, paranormal and nonstop adventure.
I will admit I am hesitant to rate time travel books highly. They are often confusing or far too easy to pull apart. However I have now read a few of Simon’s books and have to say he does time travel well. Once again he has produced a book full of action that is believable and easy to follow. Twisted Fate is a great read.

Stitch Says Review: Chase Tinker No 2 #bookreview

I love that the title rhymes… Okay I’m just in that type of mood. Stitch here by the way:

I have finally finished the second book in the Chase Tinker Series so it’s time to share:

Chase Tinker and the House of Secrets (The Chase Tinker Series, Book 2)
by Malia Ann Haberman

Chase Tinker and his magical family are back and this time the stakes are even higher. The evil family is still trying to steal their magic and their free will. Chase now has his father back and they are now a part of a rescue mission. However things are not as clear as they seem. There are new twists, turns and magical characters. Chase Tinker and the House of Secrets is a fantastic sequel. I would recommend reading the first book before this one so you get the whole feel for this magical world.
One this for sure at the end of this story you will be reaching for the third.

Book Description: Mary’s heart breaks over the pending destruction of a beautiful, but damaged filly. When life is not fair, the courageous challenge the obstacles. Twelve-year-old Mary was disabled at the age of four by the same virus that took the life of her mother. While she longs to have a horse of her own, she’s limited to reading horse books. A talented artist, she spends her days on a blanket in the grass sketching the horses at the farm next door. She falls in love with one of the foals and is outraged to learn the filly is considered worthless as it was born lame. Mary befriends and enlists the help of twelve-year-old Laura, whose family owns the horse farm. Against the better judgment of the farm manager, a brief reprieve is negotiated for the foal’s life. The girls conspire to raise money to save her, but time is running out. Sadly, it appears the expensive surgery the foal needs has little chance to correct her problem anyway. Mary isn’t about to give up. She sacrifices what she holds dear, including the trust of her papa, to gain her heart’s desire. Will she lose everything in her struggle to save the foal?

About the Author

susancount

One day…I began to write with no preconceived ideas about anything. I’d read what I had written the day before and add another scene to the adventure. No one could have been more astounded than I was when it turned into a book. The whole process gave me great joy and restored my spirit after a season of loss. My motivation was my desire to bless one particular young lady with a story to show her a love relationship in a family, with the Lord, and with a horse. I truly thought the story would remain in a drawer until she was old enough to read it. Surprise.

I write at an antique secretary desk which belonged to the same grandmother who introduced me to horse books. The desk has secret compartments and occupies a glass room with a forest view. Bunnies and cardinals regularly interrupt my muse, as do my horses grazing in a clearing.

Though I am a rider and lover of horses, I make no claims of expertise in any riding discipline. I hope that my research keeps me from annoying those who would know.

The only thing more fun than riding might be writing horse adventure stories.
Saddle up and ride along!

What Stitch says…

The Gardenia curse was an interesting read. The concept of dreamland and the shadow certainly will get the reader interested. Then the story of how Eva’s families reputation affects her schooling added to the engagement. The adventure unfolds a little bit at a time and leaves the reader wanting to know what will happen next. The mixture of normal teenage issues works against the nightmares of dreamland. Then the history of Eva’s family adds to the intrigue. This is a great fantasy, mystery book for teens.
